A short walk from the townhouse takes guests into the historic town centre opening to a huge cobbled town square encircled by shops pubs cafes tearooms and restaurants.
There are also popular biweekly markets on a Wednesday and Saturday filled with local produce and food vendors.
Richmond is famous as a hub to explore from with walks from the castle down to the River Swale through to Easby Abbey and further afield into Swaledale and the Yorkshire Dales beyond.
