Description

In the centre of the picturesque village of Llangynidr, this bright, cosy and relaxing bungalow makes a wonderful holiday home for a family exploring the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park.

Llangynidr is a charming village set between Brecon (10.5 miles north-west) and Abergavenny (11 miles to the east). The village is set on the banks of the Usk, with the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal rising through five locks nearby. Llangynidr has a couple of good pubs, a shop and a cafe, and makes a great base for walkers and cyclists exploring the surrounding Brecon Beacons National Park. Local attractions include the Blaen-y-Glyn waterfalls (11 miles), Tretower Castle (4.5 miles), Llangorse Lake (7 miles) and Cantref Adventure Farm (9 miles). There are plenty of picturesque towns and villages in the region including Crickhowell (5 miles), Talybont (4 miles) and Brynmawr (9 miles) all offering some excellent places to eat and drink.

Decorated in light, friendly tones, the airy lounge is a perfect space to unwind in, with plenty of comfortable seating, TV, DVD/CD and a good selection of books about the local area. The light and attractive kitchen/diner offers a charming dining area where you can sit and share your favourite meals. The kitchen is equipped with an electric double oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, with a spacious walk-in pantry and ample workspaces. There is also a small utility with a washing machine. Exploring this cosy property further, there are three delicately decorated bedrooms – a twin room, a double room, and a spacious double bedroom which has been imaginatively converted from the old village post office, and even retains the original post office counter. The property also has a shower room with a shower (accessed via one step) and WC, as well as a family bathroom which features a bath and WC.

Going outside, you can unwind in the enclosed garden, and enjoy the wonderful  views of the surrounding hills, it has outdoor furniture, so you can sit back with a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. Parking is available for two cars.
