Take a short walk down to the beach and amusement arcades or browse all of the local shops and bars. The promenade is the ideal place to enjoy a stroll whilst taking in the refreshing sea air and Hornsea Mere, one of Yorkshires largest lakes, is well worth a visit less than a mile away. A little further afield are the stately homes of Burton Agnes, Sledmere House, and Sewerby Hall (all within 25 miles) and the popular coastal towns of Bridlington and Flamborough (both within 20 miles). You could also join the Wolds Way from Flamborough, perfect for walkers and cyclists alike.
