Gronant Dunes Beach, located on the North Wales coastline, is a beautiful and ecologically significant stretch of sandy beach backed by a nature reserve and designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

The western end of Prestatyn's fine sandy beach is backed by an area of dunes that form part of an extensive dune system between Barkby Beach to the west and Talacre Point to the east, on the western side of the River Dee estuary. This area is a nature reserve and a designated SSSI due to its importance as a habitat for a variety of plant and animal life.

The dunes at Gronant Dunes Beach feature various viewing platforms that offer stunning views of the surroundings, as well as informative boards that provide details about the local flora and fauna. The area is home to a range of marine flora, including sea holly, marram grass, and rare dune fescue. Visitors may also spot natterjack toads, lizards, and North Wales' only breeding colony of little terns. In the winter months, the dunes attract large numbers of wading birds and waterfowl, making it a popular spot for birdwatchers.

The water quality and sandy foreshore make Gronant Dunes Beach a popular spot for summer bathing, although there is no lifeguard presence. The North Wales Coastal Cycle route, which links Prestatyn and Chester, passes close to the beach, providing a scenic route for cyclists. A wooden boardwalk leads from the nearby caravan parks to the beach, offering easy access for visitors.
