The wall continues ahead into Herne Bay, the clock tower and both ends of its pier appearing in the distance. The Isle of Sheppey appears on the horizon between the two parts of the pier. The groynes along here are in rather better condition than the ones further to the east at Minnis Bay - see http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2111440
