I was born in a sea-side town, and all my early childhood holidays and days out were to the sea-side, and I love how this picture from our recent escape to Wales turned out, as it's captured the essence of a good version of that trip.
This was my first time out using Fujifilm Superia 400, and I'm really pleased with the results. Other than a crop to 4x5 (and wonky horizon fix) this is straight as delivered from the lab.
Also, if you zoom in, you can just faintly make out the super tankers on the horizon :) This beach is on St Bride's Bay, which is a fairly calm large bay around the corner from a gas terminal, and it seems the tankers like to park in the calm bay whilst they await their slot at the terminal. It was fun to see such giant ships being parked up like cars waiting for a parking space.
