Ballyholme is situated within the town of Bangor to the North-East of Belfast.

It is a mile-long sandy bay with some interesting rock pools at either end. Located at the end of Ballyholme beach is the National Trust Nature Reserve of Ballymacormick Point with a walk that leads to the beautiful seaside village of Groomsport.
