Brown's Bay is a picturesque sandy bay located on the northern tip of the Islands Magee peninsula in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. .
Brown's Bay is a large, north-facing sandy bay bounded by hills on either side. The beach is approximately 300 metres in length and features a crossable stream running down the middle and into the bay. The bay's sheltered location makes it an ideal spot for swimming during the warmer summer months, with calm waters perfect for a relaxing dip.
The beach offers excellent rural views, with the mountainous Antrim countryside visible on the horizon to the north west. A grassy area behind the beach provides a perfect spot for a picnic or simply for sitting and admiring the surrounding views. Several scenic routes make walking on and around the beach a popular pastime. Visitors can also enjoy a range of facilities, including a car park with 150 spaces, public toilets, and baby changing facilities, which can be accessed down a short ramp or a set of stairs.
Dogs must be kept on a lead between 11:00 am and 6:00 pm from the beginning of June until the end of August, plus public holidays and any other times when the beach is busy. Dog bins are provided for the convenience of dog owners. A small shop is located above the western end of the beach and is open for much of the time. Larne Golf Club is also nearby, overlooking the bay to the north west.
