Period farmhouse with games room, enclosed garden and a short walk to the tidal estuary. Hillside position in Arthog with uninterrupted views of Cader Idris mountain, in Snowdonia National Park.

Great location to walk out of the front door, through the garden and stroll to nature reserves, join the Mawddach Trail and footpaths across Snowdonia National Park, climb Cader Idris, walk to the Blue Lake or amble along to the beach. Enjoy the golf course, children’s play area, miniature steam railway, beach and sea at Fairbourne or take the water taxi to Barmouth Harbour. Visit King Arthurs Labyrinth, Portmeirion village, Harlech Castle or for adrenalin seekers there’s Coed y Brenin and Zip World Slate Caverns. With lots to see and do and a range of events, outdoor activities, historic and coastal towns to discover this is perfect for your family holiday.

This charming farmhouse with period features, open fire and scullery games room is tastefully furnished, with all the thoughtful little extras to enhance your stay. Walk into the hall with the kitchen to your left. If you decide to eat in the kitchen is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and all the equipment you need to prepare a meal for family and friends. Head back in to the hall and straight ahead is the scullery with lots of space for your boots, sandals and wet suits, a tumble dryer and best of all the pool table to test your skill. To your right is the spacious lounge/diner perfect to relax in after a full day out with comfortable sofas, Smart TV, Sky (basic package) and feature fireplace with coal burner effect oil fire. Gather round the table for a bite to eat, plan your holiday activities and for cosy nights in and light the oil-fired burner. Through to the second hall you will find the separate WC, staircase and the second lounge with feature fireplace with open fire. On the first floor there are four bedrooms to choose from, one spacious king-size with en-suite shower room with shower and WC, one spacious double with elegant freestanding bath, coal burner effect electric fire and en-suite WC, and further down the corridor two lovely twin bedrooms. Enjoy a leisurely shower in the spacious family shower room with shower and WC.

In front of the house is an enclosed walled garden with paved patio, table, chairs and charcoal BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining or to just relax and embrace the mountain views. The house is set in half an acre of grounds to explore with naturalised areas, fire pit and gate down to the path to the Mawddach Estuary and beyond. There is private off-road parking for four cars at the property and a lockable shed for bicycles and lots of space in the garden for canoes.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
