One of the main highlights of Cromer is it's pier, which opened on June 8th 1901, and has achieved Grade II listed status. The pier underwent a £1.2 million refurbishment between June 2012 and October 2013, which then saw most of the hard work undone by a major storm surge just two months later, on December 5th 2013, which necessitated the temporary closure of the pier for a week, with work not being completed until late 2014.
