A splendid Welsh slang phrase for jellyfish!
One or two of these were being washed up on Tenby's South Beach when we had a pre-breakfast mooch. On my late morning stroll from Manorbier to Tenby there were several of them on Lydstep Haven beach along with several bits and pieces. There had been a violent storm earlier in the week out in the Atlantic (boats de-masted etc.) so maybe these jellyfish didn't survive the intensive wash-cycle out at sea.
