Nolton Haven Beach is a small, uncrowded sandy beach situated in a sheltered cove within St Brides Bay. The beach is less than 150 metres across, facing west, and is flanked by cliffs to the north and south. A small stream flows into the bathing water from steep-sided pastoral land.
The beach offers a range of activities, including sheltered bathing, rock pooling, fishing, surfing, horse riding, and boat trips. At low tide, a narrow strip of sand emerges, providing additional space for beachgoers. However, swimmers should exercise caution due to strong and unpredictable currents.
The beach is located within the Pembrokeshire Marine Special Area of Conservation and the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, highlighting its environmental significance. The closest amenities can be found in the village of Nolton Haven, which features a pub, restaurant, and nearby caravan parks and camping sites.
The surrounding area offers a range of accommodation options, including holiday cottages and camping sites close to the beach. A surf shop and The Mariners Inn are also located nearby, overlooking the beach.
Nolton Haven Beach is adjacent to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and the Wales Coast Path.
