Staithes Beach is a small, sheltered beach located in the harbour of a picturesque fishing village on the north east coast of England.

Staithes Beach is situated on the Yorkshire coast, at the northern edge of the North York Moors, and is a popular spot for families. The beach is small, measuring 100 metres in length, and is protected by a harbour wall. It is backed by a promenade, tourist establishments, houses, and holiday cottages, which are tightly packed on the cliffs.

The beach is set within the harbour and sheltered behind one of the largest fishing ports on the north east coast, which is also known as the 'dinosaur' coast. This stretch of coast is a popular spot for fossil hunters and is characterised by towering, rugged cliffs. The beach is part of a Marine Conservation Zone, which stretches south to Sandsend, due to its important and productive seabed habitat.

However, the water quality at Staithes Beach is a concern, with bathing water quality samples taken on 25th May, 13th June, and 7th July 2006 not meeting the legal minimum standards. As a result, bathing is not advised, and visitors are recommended to seek further information from Scarborough Borough Council.

The fishing village of Staithes is considered by many to be the prettiest on the east coast, with a charming harbour and seafront. The village has been featured in the CBeebies series Old Jack's Boat and is a popular tourist destination. There is a small car park close to the beach for visitors.

Staithes Beach is on the North Yorkshire & Cleveland Heritage Coast.
