Bridlington North Beach is a large sand and shingle beach, stretching two kilometres in length, with a gentle slope that exposes a large area of the beach at low tide. The beach is backed by the Edwardian North Promenade and lies at the foot of the Flamborough cliffs, providing great views of the impressive chalk cliffs and the sea. The town and harbour are a short stroll away, making it a convenient and popular destination for families.
The beach offers a range of traditional seaside activities, including rock pools, a land train, and stunning views of the Flamborough Headland, which is a nesting site for thousands of sea birds, including the Gannet, the only mainland nesting site in the UK. The beach is also close to the Bridlington links course and Sewerby Hall, a popular local attraction.
The beach is backed by tourist establishments on the seafront, providing a range of amenities and facilities for visitors. The Gypsey Race, the main river running through Bridlington, feeds into the harbour before entering the sea to the north of the bathing beach.
