Caswell Bay is a popular sandy beach located on the Gower Peninsula in Wales, known for its picturesque views, accessible amenities, and range of activities for visitors.

Caswell Bay is a southwesterly facing, half-mile long sandy bay beach, nestled behind the Mumbles headland. The beach offers a wide expanse of dark golden coloured sand, which reduces significantly in size at high tide, occasionally interrupted by natural rock formations. The beach is backed by cliffs with a coastal path to Langland Bay, providing stunning views over the bay and the Bristol Channel.

The beach has a large car park, providing convenient access for visitors. A range of amenities are available, including a year-round café, a beach shop, public toilets, and outdoor showers. The beach is also patrolled by lifeguards between May and September, making it a safe and popular spot for families. Visitors can enjoy a range of activities, including swimming, surfing, and exploring the rock pools at low tide. A surf school is also on site, providing lessons for beginners.

Caswell Bay is accessible for those with disabilities, with efficient lifeguards supervising the beach and excellent access for prams and disabled visitors. The beach is also close to the Bishop's Wood Nature Reserve, offering a diverse range of wildlife and beautiful nature walks.

During the summer months, dogs are banned from using the beach between May and September, while lifeguards are on duty. Visitors are advised to arrive early to guarantee a parking space during peak season.

Caswell Bay is located on the south-eastern side of the Gower Peninsula, close to The Mumbles. Visitors can access the beach by car or bus from Swansea.
