This rustic property in Seahouses is a dog-friendly cottage that sleeps four, located close to the harbour and beach, perfect for exploring the heritage and natural beauty of Northumberland.
This charming cottage lies in the fishing village of Seahouses, which offers boat trips, coastal walks and delicious local food, making it an ever-popular tourist destination. Northumberland is a county with a host of spectacular wildlife, award-winning dining and areas of outstanding natural beauty. Northumberland’s International Dark Sky Park is an opportunity not to be missed; the largest of its kind on Europe, it allows visitors to embrace the autumn and winter seasons and witness some of the region’s exciting astronomical events – the perfect place to observe the county’s beautiful, star-speckled sky. Seahouses, in particular, is well served by boat trips to the magnificent Farne Islands and Coquet Island, plus several nature reserves nestled in the heart of Northumberland. The fascinating Bamburgh Castle is also nearby, with exhibitions exploring its varied history as Anglo-Saxon palace, home to a Victorian inventor, and all the centuries between.
The cottage features a cosy lounge with an electric fire with log burner effect and two sofas, where guests can relax with smart TV or some of the books and games provided, or enjoy a meal at the dining table with four chairs. The fully equipped kitchen gives you the freedom for a great self-catering holiday with ample facilities that includes an electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, washer/dryer and a dishwasher. On the first floor, the comfortable main bedroom features a restful king size bed and ample storage while the second bedroom provides 2 single beds, and shower room with a WC. The traditional ambience throughout is of warmth and easy living.
Outside, access to the neighbouring sister cottage is shared, and while the porch entrance to this cottage does not allow for outdoor seating, the harbour front and all the local amenities and attractions are a short distance away from the accommodation. You are able to unload your car outside the property, however for more permanent car parking a permit is provided free of charge for the village carpark, only a few minutes walk away. This permit can also be used in other Northumberland Car Parks during your stay. Please note that the location of the property is to the rear of the coffee shop, as well as a kebab shop.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
