Dolphins, basking shark, and seals can be occasionally seen in Wembury Bay. Walk less than a mile and discover the dramatic cliffs over Connor’s Cove where the River Yealm meets the sea. For culture and shopping, visit Plymouth (7 miles) with its Hoe and Barbican, independent shops and theatre. Other attractions and places of interest include the stunning South Hams (17 miles), Dartmoor National Park (11 miles), and the pretty fishing villages of Looe (28 miles) and National Trust Saltram (6 miles).
