Nearby, bustling Berwick’s border town offers a great blend of shops, arts and crafts and numerous places to eat and drink. Stroll around the town’s Elizabethan walls and Lowry Trail, enjoy a riverboat trip and see a play. Explore miles of unspoilt, dog-friendly beaches nearby too, including Cheswick, Spittal, and Bamburgh with its breathtaking castle, and visit Seahouses for boat trips to the Farne Islands. Venture over the causeway to Lindisfarne’s Holy Island for history, culture and local mead. Meanwhile, the Cheviot Hills beckon with walking and cycling trails galore and of course, fishing in the River Tweed for salmon and trout.
Enter this delightful cottage through the front door from the garden. Then head into the welcoming lounge/diner with a large, comfortable sofa and two easy chairs where you can settle back and relax in front of the cosy, open fire after your day’s activities to watch a little Smart TV. There is a radio and Bluetooth for your music too. Enjoy meals together sitting at the dining table or plan your days out from here. The bright kitchen has everything you will need during your stay, including an electric oven, grill and hob, a microwave, fridge with a freezer shelf, a Lavazza coffee machine, dishwasher and washer/dryer. This is a single-storey property, and the two bedrooms are on either side of the lounge, one with a king-size bed and plenty of storage, including hanging hooks for your things, and the second bedroom has a 2'6"" twin zip-and-link (which can be made into a king-size on request) and a chest of drawers. The contemporary bathroom has a corner shower and WC. A door to the rear has two steps down to a shared courtyard.
Outside, there is a lovely, south-facing garden at the front of the cottage with outdoor furniture on the stone patio area and a lawned section for outdoor games. Enjoy dining alfresco using the charcoal BBQ and chimenea. There is private, off-road parking for three cars.
