Fishermans Haven Beach is a picturesque sandy beach located near the historic town of Berwick-on-Tweed, in the Northumberland region of northeast England.
Fishermans Haven Beach is a lovely sandy beach backed by rocks and grassy low-rise cliffs. The beach is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, making it an excellent location for a bracing walk at any time of year. There are three paths that lead to the beach, including one from Berwick Holiday Park with steps going down the cliffs to the headland.
This part of the Northumberland coast offers a good opportunity for wildlife-spotting. Visitors can look out for ringed plovers, eider ducks, and oystercatchers around the beach. On occasion, visitors are lucky enough to spot seals, dolphins, porpoises, and even the occasional basking shark in the waters off this part of the coast. The beach is also close to other beaches, with lovely walks around the cliffs to explore.
Fishermans Haven Beach has a reputation as being one of the cleanest in the area. It is located just a short walk from the historic town of Berwick-on-Tweed, making it an ideal destination for those looking to combine a beach visit with a town visit.
