Situated on the North Norfolk coast, the traditional seaside town of Sheringham is home to the famous North Norfolk Steam Railway offering day trips to the nearby Georgian town of Holt via Weybourne. The town itself boasts an array of independent shops, cafes, pubs and places to eat along with a popular beach and thriving theatre. The National Trust properties of Blickling Hall and Felbrigg, together with Sheringham Park, are well worth a visit as is Blakeney Point, where you can catch one of the regular boat services from Morston to see England’s largest grey seal colony. Alternatively, go bird watching at Cley Marshes or visit the popular resort of Cromer, famous for the Pier Show, which is nearby.
