Poole Shore Road Beach is a narrow beach with a promenade, located on the Sandbanks Peninsula in Dorset. The beach offers scenic views across the harbour to Brownsea Island and the Purbeck Hills, providing an excellent backdrop for sunsets.
The beach has a lively Mediterranean-style café, a beach brasserie, and nearby bars. There are good toilet facilities, including those for disabled visitors, and a wide selection of watersports available, including sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, jet-skiing, and sailing. Sand wheelchairs are also available for the disabled. A lifeguard is on duty between 10am and 6pm from the late May Bank Holiday to the start of September, and a safe swim zone is clearly marked. Visitors can also hire beach huts, and there is a lost children patrol.
Cycling, skating, skateboarding, and e-scooters are restricted at certain times in July and August. Barbecues are also restricted to certain times, and visitors should check safe disposal guidelines. Open fires and camping are not allowed at any time. Pay and display parking is available at Banks Road, with 72 parking spaces plus around a dozen accessible spaces next to the beach entrance. Ramps allow an easy route to the sand, and disabled toilets are available via radar key.
