The fine golden sand and excellent array of facilities make it very popular in the summer months. Access for the disabled is very good and special sand wheelchairs are available. A wide selection of activities is on offer including, crazy golf/putting, beach shop, and a range of watersports including windsurfing, sailing and paddle boats. Seafront cafe and other food outlets are situated along the promenade. A marked swim zone and a lost children patrol add to the safety of the beach. Lifeguards are on duty between May and September.
