Prestatyn Ffrith Beach is a popular holiday destination in North Wales, boasting a long sandy beach with rocky breakwaters and a scenic promenade.
Prestatyn Ffrith Beach is one of three sandy beaches in the Prestatyn holiday resort, situated between the River Dee Estuary and Rhyl. The beach stretches along a 4-mile long promenade, which is a favourite among cyclists and dog walkers. The promenade offers stunning views of the coastline and is lined with amenities, including a bowling alley.
The area behind Ffrith Beach was once home to a boating lake and a lively fun fair, although today it is much quieter. However, visitors can still enjoy a range of amenities, including a bowling alley. The beach is protected by sea defences, including a number of groynes. Dog restrictions apply to the eastern end of the beach from May to September.
Visitors with dogs can enjoy the beach from the golf course to the entrance to the Fun Parc, which is located on the eastern end of Ffrith Beach. The nearest car park to Ffrith Beach is accessed from Victoria Road, providing convenient parking for beachgoers.
Prestatyn Ffrith Beach is adjacent to the Wales Coast Path.
