Bonne Nuit Beach is a north-facing beach, sheltered from all but northerly winds, although the sun sets early in the afternoon as it dips below the high cliffs. The beach is covered by fishing boats and their ropes, making watersports and swimming challenging. However, the harbour and surrounding area offer stunning ocean views, particularly from the high cliffside path above.
The small harbour of Bonne Nuit is nestled on the north coast of the island, sheltered by the hills towering above it. The name "Bonne Nuit" is derived from the French phrase "good night", reflecting its reputation as a quiet and peaceful mooring.
While watersports and swimming are limited due to the presence of fishing boats, the area offers other recreational activities. The hillside above Bonne Nuit is a popular spot for paragliding, with enthusiasts launching from this, the highest point in Jersey.
The beach and harbour are surrounded by picturesque scenery, with walks to and from the high cliffside path offering breathtaking ocean views.
