An ideal beach for families, with safe bathing and plenty for children to explore. The beach got its name from the common fate of captured smugglers who frequented it, who were then deported in a convict ship to Botany Bay in Australia.
Broadstairs Botany Bay is adjacent to the Kent Coastline Walk and the Viking Coastal Trail.
