The small bay of Crooklets is situated due north of Summerleaze and adjoins it at low tide. The bay is formed by the rocks of Wrangle Point to the north and outcrops of rocks to the south. Crooklets Beach is approximately 310 metres wide and has a small stream flowing onto it.
Crooklets Beach is a west-facing beach that joins up with neighbouring Summerleaze at low tide. It is a hugely popular family beach with plenty of facilities, including a beach cafe, parking, toilets, and a kids play area, the Pirate Play Ship, on the beach front. Colourful beach huts are also available for hire. The beach can get busy during the summer months, and RNLI Lifeguards are on duty throughout the holiday season from May to September.
Crooklets Beach is one of Cornwall's top surfing beaches, popular with surfers due to its exposed location and typically bigger waves than its neighbour, Summerleaze. Dolphins can sometimes be seen from the beach, adding to its natural appeal.
There is a large car park at the top of the beach with pay and display. Dog walkers can access the beach during the winter months, but there is a seasonal ban from 15th May to 30th September, between 10am and 6pm.
Bude Crooklets Beach is adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
