Bude Summerleaze Beach is situated on the north coast of Cornwall and is a sandy beach resort, approximately 440 metres wide, backed with sand dunes. The beach is sheltered by a breakwater and is surrounded by dunes, making it an ideal spot for families. The River Neet flows across the beach to the sea.
The beach offers a range of amenities, including a seawater bathing pool, which opened in 1930 and provides safe swimming in all conditions. Beach huts are available to hire, and there is also a sandchair hire scheme. A small bay, known as Crooklets, is located due north of Summerleaze and adjoins it at low tide. The bay is formed by the rocks of Wrangle Point to the north and outcrops of rocks to the south.
Summerleaze Beach is a popular spot for families and surfers, with local surf schools offering lessons and equipment hire. The beach is also a great spot for spotting wildlife, with dolphins occasionally visible from the shore. Visitors can take a stroll along the sand to neighbouring Crooklets Beach at low tide and explore the rock pools.
The beach is easily accessible, with plenty of parking on the seafront and nearby. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round.
Bude Summerleaze Beach is adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
