Crackington Haven Beach is situated in a remote, sheltered bay approximately 140 metres wide. The beach consists of a mixture of sand, shingle, and pebbles, and is surrounded by high cliffs. The Crackington Stream flows onto the beach, adding to its natural charm. The beach is west-facing and offers stunning views of some of the highest cliffs in Cornwall.
The beach features rock pools, making it an ideal spot for exploration and discovery. It is also popular with surfers, despite being quieter than its sandy neighbours. The South West Coast Path runs along the cliffs, offering walkers breathtaking views of the coastline.
There are holiday cottages and self-catering accommodation options nearby, making it a convenient base for a beach holiday. The beach has parking and a bus stop on the seafront, making it easily accessible.
The beach is dog-friendly between 1 October and 30 April, with restrictions in place during the summer months.
Crackington Haven Beach is on the Pentire Point - Widemouth Heritage Coast, and adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
