Greenaway Beach is situated at Trebetherick, near Polzeath, and is often overlooked by visitors in favour of more popular destinations such as Daymer Bay to the south, or Hayle Bay and Polzeath to the north.
The beach is a small cove consisting of sand and rocks, and is generally quiet due to its relative obscurity.
In contrast, nearby Daymer Bay is a wide, sandy bay that is popular with families, offering excellent opportunities for swimming and windsurfing. At low tide, the sand at Daymer Bay stretches south to neighbouring Rock Beach, providing a lovely spot to spend the day. Visitors to Daymer Bay can take advantage of the facilities available at the Daymer Bay Beach Shop, which offers everything needed for a day on the sand, with views overlooking the Camel Estuary to Hawkers Cove. Notably, Daymer Bay is dog-friendly all year round.
Greenaway Beach is adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
