Shorthorn Beach is a popular sandy beach located on the south coast of Cornwall, forming part of the Carlyon Bay stretch of coastline.

Shorthorn Beach is a sandy beach resort, approximately 630 metres wide, backed by sand dunes and cliffs. The beach is over a mile long and is great for families. A stream flows onto the beach, and the beach was previously known as Crinnis Golf Links beach. Shorthorn Beach makes up the middle part of Carlyon Bay, joining with Crinnis Beach to the west.

Carlyon Bay offers visitors three unique beach experiences: Crinnis Beach, Shorthorn Beach, and Polgaver Beach. The bay is a nearly 2-mile stretch of coastline that provides a perfect blend of natural beauty and modern amenities. The beaches cater to different preferences, with Crinnis Beach being the main attraction, Shorthorn Beach being a quieter section, and Polgaver Beach being the third option.

The beaches in Carlyon Bay have a distinctive character, with a fine pebble and coarse sand composition. The sand is actually "stent" - a coarse mixture of grey quartz and occasional tourmaline grains. The bay offers plenty of space for kids to play, build sandcastles, and explore. The clearer waters make it an excellent spot for introducing little ones to the joys of swimming in the sea. Visitors can enjoy a range of activities, including jet skiing, "Wave Runner Safaris", and wild swimming.

The beach buzzes with a lively atmosphere during the summer, with music playing and a bar open from noon until late. The South West Coast Path runs along the cliff top and along the golf course, which surrounds the bay. Dog restrictions apply from Easter Sunday to September 30th.
