Little Perhaver Beach is a small, sand and shingle beach that links up with Gorran Haven's main beach at low tide. The beach is accessible for all, with a gently sloping road leading down to the sand.
Gorran Haven Beach is a small, east-facing sandy beach, nestled in the heart of a charming fishing village. The beach is partially sheltered by a historic stone quay, creating ideal conditions for swimming and water activities. While there's no lifeguard cover, the calm waters make it an excellent spot for families with children to enjoy the sea. The village offers a range of amenities, including public toilets, eating places, and shops selling fish and chips, cakes, and Cornish pasties.
Visitors to the beach can enjoy a range of activities, including kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding, which can be rented on the beach during the summer season. Fishing enthusiasts can join angling trips from the harbor or cast a line from the shore. The area is also popular with walkers, with scenic cliff walks and nearby attractions such as Dodman Point with its Iron Age hillfort, and the offshore Gwineas rocks, where seals and cormorants can be spotted.
Getting to the beach is easy, with a large car park just 300 meters up the road. The beach itself is accessible for all, with the road sloping gently down to the sand. There are also holiday cottages available to rent in the area, and boat trips for sightseeing and fishing.
Little Perhaver Beach is on The Roseland Heritage Coast, and adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
