Portmellon Beach is a 150m long sandy beach situated within a bay. At high tide, the beach is completely covered, but at low water, rock-pools become accessible. The beach is bordered by a road and is predominantly used by tourists. A slipway for boats is also available at the beach.
The beach is located just a 15-minute walk from Mevagissey, a traditional Cornish seaside town with twin harbours and narrow twisting streets. Visitors can also enjoy a lovely walk along the South West Coast Path from Portmellon Beach to Chapel Point.
Portmellon Beach is on The Roseland Heritage Coast.
