Dating back to 1830 this spacious and tastefully furnished traditional early Victorian villa nestles in a lovely secluded position close to the stunning southeast coast of the Isle of Wight.
Just a short walk from this lovely property is the delightful small coastal village of Bonchurch. Also within walking distance is the popular traditional seaside resort of Ventnor, where you can enjoy a stroll along the promenade and down to the glorious beach. Fishermen sell fresh crab, lobster and a variety of other fish here, and there’s a choice of restaurants and pubs with lovely views across the bay. You can take the pretty coastal path and head westwards to Steephill Cove and the Ventnor Botanic Garden or eastwards to the resort of Shanklin, with Sandown also nearby. It is also possible to walk up to St Boniface Down from the villa and admire the wonderful views across the island.
On entering this fantastic property you will find yourself in the tastefully furnished lounge, with comfy seating, an open fire, and French doors which open on to the front terrace with views across the garden. Exploring further you will find a second lounge with comfortable furnishings, TV/DVD. You can enjoy a meal in style in the attractive dining room which also has French doors and views across the garden. You will find the kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, integral microwave, and fridge/freezer. There’s a large adjoining utility area with an extra freezer, and a fully equipped laundry room with washing machine. There is also a ground-floor WC. The first of the bedrooms can be found on the ground floor: a pretty single room. Stairs lead up from the spacious hallway to four further cosy bedrooms. There are two spacious south-facing double bedrooms, one with a super-king-size bed and the other with a king-size bed. Both rooms have views across the garden with glimpses of the sea through the trees. There’s also a twin bedroom, as well as a children's bunk bedroom into which an extra bed can be added. You will also find a bathroom complete with a bath, hand-held shower and WC, and a shower room with a walk-in shower and WC.
Stepping outside, the villa has a beautiful south-facing mature secluded garden, with large lawn and terrace. Garden furniture is provided so you can relax and there is a separate area to the side of the villa with a BBQ, table and chairs. There is in line parking in the drive for 2-3 small/medium width cars.
