Milford-on-Sea Beach is part of a long, sweeping pebble beach interspersed with wooden and rock groynes. The beach is backed by low cliffs at its western end and adjoins the Lymington–Keyhaven Nature Reserve to the east. The beach itself is mostly shingle, with some sand at the water's edge in places, and features a concrete sea wall and timber groynes.
The beach offers a range of amenities, including cafes, an ice cream kiosk, and a play area. Visitors can also enjoy a great walk from the beach along Hurst Spit to Hurst Castle. While there are no lifeguards on duty, the beach is considered safe for swimming.
The seaside village of Milford-on-Sea offers a range of facilities, including multi-coloured beach huts, parking options (both free and paid), and self-catering holiday cottages and apartments for rent, including dog-friendly options. Dogs are welcome on the beach all year round, with no restrictions in place.
The beach is situated near the town of Milford-on-Sea, with a coastal path and coast road running along the top of the beach. The beach offers excellent views of the Isle of Wight and is a popular destination for families during the summer holidays.
