Newquay Tolcarne Beach is a popular seaside destination located on the north coast of Cornwall, known for its large expanse of sand and crescent-shaped bay.

Tolcarne Beach is situated in Newquay Bay and is a sandy beach resort approximately 250 metres wide, backed by cliffs and the town of Newquay. The beach is formed by a large expanse of sand backed by cliffs in a crescent-shaped bay, making it a popular spot for surfers, swimmers, and families.

Tolcarne is one of four beaches that join up at low tide to create a mile of golden sand. It is located between Great Western and Lusty Glaze beaches and is sheltered on three sides by tall cliffs. At low tide, it is possible to walk across from Great Western beach, while at high tide, access is via a steep flight of steps cut into the cliff.

The beach offers a range of amenities and activities, including wide open spaces with soft golden sand, making it a popular seaside destination for families during the holiday season. The beach is also a great spot for surfing, with qualified life guards on duty in high season, and offers lessons and board rentals. Visitors can enjoy holiday accommodation with sea views, including self-catering apartments and hotels such as The Hotel Bristol.

The beach is located on the South West Coast Path, making it perfect for walkers and nature lovers. It is also just a 5-minute walk from Newquay town centre, with restaurants, shops, and amenities. However, there are some restrictions for dog owners, with dogs allowed on the beach from October until the end of March, and during holiday season, dogs are allowed on the beach before 9am and after 6pm.

Newquay Tolcarne Beach is adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
