Caldey Island Priory Bay, located off the coast of Tenby in South Pembrokeshire, is a serene and picturesque destination known for its stunning beach, monastery, and tranquil atmosphere. .

Caldey Island is a haven of peace and tranquillity, home to a Cistercian (Trappist) monastery and a small village. The island's Priory Bay features a long sandy beach with a small jetty where passenger boats from the mainland arrive. The only way to reach the island is by taking a 20-minute boat ride from Tenby's Castle Beach, as private boat landings are not permitted.

The beach at Priory Bay is generally considered safe for swimming and offers a range of facilities in the nearby village, including a café and disabled toilets. The boat service to Priory Bay operates on weekdays from Easter to October and on Saturdays from May to September. Visitors can enjoy the beach's golden sand, backed by low dunes, and take part in various activities such as swimming, walking, and simply relaxing.

Tenby South Beach, also in South Pembrokeshire, is another popular destination for beachgoers. This wide, sandy beach stretches over 1.5 miles and offers sweeping views, a more laid-back atmosphere, and a range of activities such as walking, jogging, and water sports. The beach is backed by dunes and features a coastal path, making it ideal for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful escape.

From Tenby South Beach, visitors can enjoy stunning views of Caldey Island, which is located just offshore. On clear days, it is possible to see boats coming and going between the island and Tenby Harbour.
