Tenby South Beach is a popular destination for beachgoers in South Pembrokeshire, offering a long stretch of sandy shoreline with dunes, scenic views, and a range of activities for visitors.

Tenby South Beach stretches for over a mile and a half, running from St Catherine's Island to Giltar Point, and offers stunning views of Caldy Island. The beach is backed by soft sand dunes and at low tide, it joins up with Castle Beach to reveal a huge stretch of clean golden sand. The area closest to Tenby town is the most popular part of the beach, but walking further along towards the east end can provide a less crowded spot.

The beach has a range of amenities, including toilets, a car park, and easy disabled access. Visitors can also enjoy food options from nearby cafes, restaurants, and the South Beach Shack, which serves sandwiches and ice creams. Deckchair hire is available in the summer season from June to September, and an ice cream van serves the beach throughout this period. Lifeguards patrol the beach in the summer months, providing peace of mind for families.

The beach is ideal for swimming, with a gently sloping shoreline that makes it safe for families. It's also popular with paddleboarders, bodyboarders, and kite surfers. Dogs are allowed at the far end of the beach throughout the year, although there is a small restricted zone closer to town from May to September.

The beach offers stunning views of Caldy Island, and on clear days, visitors may even see boats coming and going between the island and Tenby Harbour. The natural sand dunes and coastal path running along the beach give it a wild and unspoiled atmosphere, making it perfect for nature lovers and peaceful picnics.

Tenby South Beach is adjacent to the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and the Wales Coast Path.
