East Looe Beach is situated at the mouth of the Looe Estuary on the south coast of Cornwall, approximately 280 metres wide. The beach is a sand and rock resort, close to the town of Looe. It is south-facing, with shallow waters that offer good, safe swimming.
The beach is popular with families and has good facilities and toilets located right by the beach. However, it can get very busy during the summer months. The eastern end of the beach is rockier and hence less crowded than the western end, which starts at the Banjo Pier. It's worth noting that East Looe beach is a dog-free zone, with dogs banned all year round.
The beach is also home to the Looe Music Festival, which takes place annually. Visitors to the beach can enjoy a range of activities, including swimming and sunbathing.
East Looe Beach is adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
