Lantic Bay is a sheltered, white-sand cove that is rarely crowded due to its remote location and difficult access. The bay is situated approximately 2 miles east of Polruan and can be reached via the South West Coast Path, where a steep and challenging path leads down the cliff, or by boat. The eastern side of the beach is marked by Gribbin Head, part of the Polperro Heritage Coast, which offers stunning scenery and walking trails.
There are two small National Trust car parks located near the bay, providing parking for visitors. However, there are no facilities on the beach itself, and the nearest village is Polruan to the west. The bay is dog-friendly all year round, making it an ideal destination for pet owners.
Lantic Bay is an ideal spot for long coastal walks and taking in the stunning scenery. The bay is surrounded by the South West Coast Path, which offers breathtaking views of the coastline and is popular with walkers. The path around Gribbin Head provides additional walking opportunities and offers spectacular views of the surrounding area.
Lantic Bay is on the Gribbin Head - Polperro Heritage Coast, and adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
