The tiny hamlet of Porthallow overlooks Talland Bay, which features small areas of sand at low tide. The bay is characterised by its rocky shoreline and is home to two sheltered shingle beaches, known as Talland Sands and Rotterdam Beach.
Historically, Talland Bay was a well-known landing spot for smugglers, taking advantage of its secluded location. In modern times, the bay has gained fame as the location of the holiday home of television personalities Richard and Judy.
Talland Bay is situated west of the town of Looe, making it a popular destination for those looking to explore the Cornish coastline.
Talland Bay is on the Gribbin Head - Polperro Heritage Coast, and adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
