Trevone Bay is a fairly remote sandy beach, approximately 170 metres wide, situated in a sheltered cove. The bay is characterised by a stream that flows across the beach to the sea, creating a unique and dynamic environment. The beach is set amidst an area of great geological interest, making it a fascinating destination for those interested in geology.
The beach boasts large rockpools of great water quality, perfect for swimming and exploration. During the summer months, RNLI lifeguards are on patrol, providing an added layer of safety for visitors. For those looking to engage in water sports, a surf shop in the nearby village offers boards and wetsuits for hire, as well as lessons and skills development opportunities. A car park is conveniently located near the Trevone Beach Complex Cafe, and there are also facilities directly on the sea front.
Visitors should be aware that Trevone Bay has a dog-friendly policy during the winter months. However, from May until the end of September each year, dogs are restricted from the beach, making it a more family-friendly environment during the peak summer season.
Trevone Bay is adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
