Tregonhawke Beach is the main beach in the Whitsand Bay area and features a small cafe, Eddystone Cafe, and toilets. The Whitsand Bay Surf Lifesaving Club operates from Tregonhawke Beach, providing a vital service to beachgoers during the summer months.
The Whitsand Bay area has RNLI Lifeguards on duty between May and October, providing an added layer of safety for visitors. However, it's essential to be aware of the potential dangers, including rip currents and the closure of certain areas due to Tregantle Fort firing range operations. Visitors are advised to look out for red flags at the western end of Whitsand Bay beach.
