Gammons Head Beach is a small, sandy cove sheltered by the majestic Gammon head and high cliffs. The beach is accessible on foot only, via the South West Coast Path and a steep climb down. As a result, it remains relatively unspoilt and peaceful. However, this seclusion also means that there are no facilities available at the beach.
The nearest parking is located at East Prawle Point, from where visitors can walk to the beach via the South West Coast Path. The path down to the beach is steep, which may make it challenging for some visitors to access.
The beach is characterised by its small size and sandy shoreline, which unfortunately disappears at high tide. Despite this, the cove remains a wonderful spot for those looking to escape the crowds and enjoy a rugged, natural environment.
Gammons Head Beach is on the South Devon Heritage Coast, and adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
