Largs is a traditional seaside resort situated on the Firth of Clyde, serving as the departure point for ferries to the Isle of Cumbrae. The town boasts several small sandy beaches, as well as cafes and restaurants near the harbour at the southern end of the beach.
The town has a number of beaches, including Main Beach, which is sandy in parts and backed by a promenade. There are also two promenades and several large, grassy areas, providing ample space for visitors to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The proximity of the Gulf Stream contributes to a relatively mild climate in the area.
Largs offers a range of activities, including a passenger ferry to Great Cumbrae Island. The nearby Clyde Muirshields Regional Park is popular with walkers, and the town's beaches provide scenic views over the Firth of Clyde towards Great Cumbrae.
Largs Central Beach is adjacent to the Ayrshire Coastal Path.
