Porth Nobla Beach is situated on a headland, midway between the small towns of Aberffraw and Rhosneigr. The beach boasts a picturesque crescent of sand and shingle, accompanied by rocky islets just offshore. To one side of the beach, cliffs provide a dramatic backdrop, while to the other, rocky outcrops create interesting rock pools to explore. The coastal footpath to the east leads to the ancient burial chamber of Barclodiad y Gawr, adding a touch of history and culture to the area.
Although Porth Nobla Beach is somewhat remote, it can be accessed via a small parking area near the beach. Facilities are limited, with toilets located about half a mile away; however, more amenities can be found in nearby Rhosneigr or Llanfaelog. The beach is popular for various water activities, including canoeing, swimming, sailing, and scuba diving. It's also a good location for surfing and bodyboarding, especially during the autumn and winter months when the waves are more robust. Visitors can enjoy the beach year-round, and dogs are allowed on the beach at all times.
