Watcombe Beach is a small, sandy cove located on the south coast of Devon, to the north of Torquay in Babbacombe Bay.

Watcombe Beach is a picturesque rural cove situated in a sheltered position just to the north of Babbacombe. The beach is approximately 700 metres wide and is a mix of rocks, sand, and fine red shingle, flanked by cliffs and backed by dense greenery. The natural cove found here is an idyllic spot for a picnic, with views out over Babbacombe Bay and over Watcombe Head.

Please note that the beach is currently closed due to damaged access steps, and all facilities are also closed. However, normally from May to September, a toilet and café operate here. There is no lifeguard presence, but lifebuoys are available. Dogs can be walked on the beach at any time of year. To access the beach, visitors must leave their cars in the pay-for car park at the end of Moor Lane in Watcombe and make a 5-10 minute steep descent through mature woodland.

Visitors should be aware that the cliffs here are somewhat unstable and rockfalls are possible at any time. Additionally, access to the beach would be difficult for visitors with mobility issues, and the steep path and climb back up may be strenuous for some.

Watcombe Beach is adjacent to the South West Coast Path.
