Lowestoft, located in Suffolk, boasts several beautiful beaches, each offering unique experiences for visitors; one such beach is Gunton Denes Beach, also known as Lowestoft Gunton Denes Beach.

The beach is situated to the north of Lowestoft harbour, just on the edge of the town. It is characterised by a mix of coarse sand and shingle, divided by wooden groynes. A large grassy area lies behind the beach, separated by a concrete walkway. Being close to Britain's most easterly point, the beach can be quite breezy.

North of Gunton Denes Beach lies a naturist beach at Corton. Although Corton was officially designated as a naturist beach in 1979, this designation was withdrawn in 2009. The council has not allocated any further naturist beaches in the area but has revoked a by-law that prohibited naturists from using other local beaches.

Lowestoft North Beach, located on the Suffolk coast, is another popular spot for a day out. The beach features a mix of sand and shingle, backed by sand dunes, and is a quieter area popular for bird watching and dog walking. It has a promenade with beach kiosks and cafes nearby, offering a more natural environment than its southern counterpart. Accessible facilities, including public toilets and a lifeguard patrol during the summer months, are available. A car park is located off Links Road.

The beach offers various activities, including a lovely walk north towards Gunton Dene and cycling along the sea front promenade to Ness Point, the most easterly point in the UK. This route is part of the North Sea Cycle Network and is accessible for all age groups. However, there are restrictions for dogs around the Pavilion and town beach. Dogs are prohibited on North Beach from May to September but are generally more welcome outside of this period. Similarly, dogs are not allowed on Corton beach from 1 May to 30 September.
