Garwick Beach is a small rock and shingle beach situated at the foot of Garwick Glen, a picturesque valley on the east coast of the Isle of Man, approximately 5 miles north of Douglas. The beach is nestled in a small bay, backed by woodlands and steep inclines, and is where the River Gawne flows into the sea. The beach offers a serene atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for those seeking solitude, as well as a popular location for fishing.
The beach features interesting rock formations and established trees that provide some protection from the sun. A cave, known as Dirk Haiterick's Cave, is located behind the beach and is steeped in local legend and history, with tales of 18th-century smuggling activities. The beach can be accessed from the A2, via Beach Road, but visitors should note that there are no facilities available.
Garwick Beach is adjacent to the Isle of Man Coastal Path.
