This small sand and shingle beach is situated just under two miles north of Peel, set between rocky outcrops. The beach is backed by grass-covered cliffs and hills, which give way to fields and the coastal path.
The beach and surrounding area provide a haven for nature lovers and those seeking solitude. The stretch of coastline offers breeding and wintering grounds for a wide variety of birds, making it an ideal spot for bird spotting. On clear days, the mountains of County Antrim may be visible across the Irish Sea.
Facilities at the beach are limited, with only a small car park a few minutes' walk from the beach. However, visitors to the area may enjoy a trip to see the ruins of 11th century Peel Castle, adding a touch of history and culture to their visit.
