Llanfairfechan Beach is a popular seaside destination located on the North Wales coastline, offering a unique combination of pebbly and sandy shores, scenic views, and a range of activities for visitors.

Llanfairfechan Beach is a long sand and pebble beach situated 9.5 kilometres east of Bangor. At high tide, the beach is predominantly pebbly, but as the tide drops, a wide open stretch of sand is revealed, making it an ideal spot for birdwatching on Lavan Sands.

The beach is backed by the Victorian seaside town of Llanfairfechan, which features a concrete promenade with shops, cafes, houses, and the main North Wales railway line. A pavilion on the promenade provides a cafe and summer entertainment, while a dinghy park makes the beach popular with sailors. The beach also offers a grassy picnic area, a children's play area, and a model boating lake.

The coastal waters of Llanfairfechan Beach are designated under the Menai Strait and Conwy Special Area of Conservation, in addition to the Traeth Lafan Special Protection Area and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. These designations reflect the area's unique natural features and importance for wildlife conservation.

Llanfairfechan Beach is a great spot for various activities, including swimming, surfing, sea canoeing, sailing, windsurfing, and fishing. The beach is dog-friendly all year, but there are restrictions between May 1st and September 30th between the two slipways extending down from the promenade to the Low Water Mark. The beach is also a good starting point for walks along the North Wales Coastal Path and into the nearby Carneddau mountains.
